I believe my registration with you is current..
I'm hoping you can give me some information as to the ethics of a situation. A special ed teacher has been deemed to have been hired without the correct credentials. The administration's solution is to take her RC classes , add them to similarly titled gen ed classes, remove the ICS teacher currently in the gen ed classes, but allow the uncredentialed sp ed teacher to teach her group using the current G&O's. The gen ed & RC math classes are abviously at different levels, different chapters and have very different needs. In other classes they are removing the current ICS teachers to pick up classes for this teacher. however, their IEP states they need ICS and the current teachers (gen & ICS) feel that ICS is needed. I'm being tols to rewrite the IEPs to conform to the changes regardless of the kids needs. II have advised my coordinator that I feel this is unethical. Any support available?
